iMovie '08 Meets Final Cut Express:
This one-day 8-hour workshop is intended for those new to digital video and editing. But, it may also be of interest to the intermediate DV and editing enthusiast. If Final Cut Studio is too complex or too much of an investment, this workshop might be the perfect solution. We will review camera, lighting and audio options before jumping into post production. We will then discuss input, and edit a prepared project, including transitions, titles, filters and music. This workshop will demonstrate the ease of iMovie, and the advantages to go one step further with Final Cut Express. The goal of the workshop is to take the novice to the intermediate level and to show intermediate participants some new tricks.
Fee: $125 per person or $600 for a group of 6. This workshop can be made shorter (no dv overview 4-hours $65 / $325).

The goal of this workshop is to give the participant a clear understanding of studio photography, strobe lighting, and the use of Aperture software.

Free Workshops:
Studio-C will offer free presentations from time to time. Inspired by the Apple store iLife series workshops, Studio-C will offer the same assortment of "projected" presentations, (in areas where no Apple store is nearby). We offer this presentation, so that everyone has the same opportunity to learn, and be introduced to some very cool stuff. Apple doesn't charge, so neither will we. It is intended as a way of sharing information and giving equal opportunity. The overview presentations include; introduction to the Mac interface and the Internet, intro to digital video, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, iWeb, Garage Band, converting vinyl to iTunes, and cool things to do in Mail. We will reach out, consider requests, and post the schedule on our website dependent on our location. Bring your computer to follow. Studio-C will also occasionally host free screenings.
No Fee
Note:
All of our normally free workshops are available (as requested) on a fee basis. We will come to you, and present any workshops that you request. In this instance, we bring our 32" cinema display for participants to follow along.
Fee: $100 per hour plus (If you would like a screen, projector and speaker set-up there is an additional $150 charge.)
